CAD and 3D Flange Drawings
Digital drawings and solid models, issued for approval before anything is machined.
Copper alloy flanges are usually made to order, which makes the drawing the contract. We issue CAD and 3D models so the geometry is agreed before metal is cut.
For a standard ASME B16.5 or B16.24 pattern the dimensions are already published, and a drawing mostly confirms bore, face type and material. For anything off-pattern, and for the naval and customer-specific patterns that copper alloy work attracts, the model is the only unambiguous description of the part.
Send us a sketch, a marked-up print, a scan of an old drawing or a sample, and we will produce a dimensioned drawing for approval before release to the floor.
Why ask for a model
Clash checking
Drop the model into the piping model and confirm the flange clears adjacent equipment, structure and insulation before fabrication.
Bore and hub agreement
On weld neck and slip-on work in copper alloy, the hub has to match the mating pipe. The model settles that in advance.
Isolation hardware
Where a copper alloy flange meets a dissimilar metal, the joint needs sleeves and washers. Modelling the stack-up catches interference early.
Approval record
An approved drawing is the reference if a delivered part is ever questioned.

What to send us
Any of these is enough to start:
- A marked-up print or a hand sketch with the critical dimensions
- A scan or photograph of an existing drawing, including old and faded ones
- A sample part, which we can measure
- The size, class, facing and material if it is a standard pattern
- A STEP file, if the geometry already exists in your model
